In the last couple of months and after the termination of the general lockdown in Medellin, we have been receiving cases of clients who have been scammed in Medellin, especially in Parque lleras/Lleras Park by beautiful women who have introduce themselves as friends.
We provide legal representation to the client in order to file the criminal case, assist him as victim in the pretrial, investigation and trial as a victim of the delinquent.
We suggest if you are going to be close with a recently known Colombian women, ask her for the Colombian ID card, or called “ cedula de ciudadania” and if possible take a photo.
There is a criminal gang that make US citizens fall into the mistake that the US citizen is having interaction with a colombian woman older than 18 years old but after the sexual encounter, the Colombian woman met in lleras park and her pimp tell the the US citizen that she is under 18 and US citizen can be sent to jail and that they will call the police if the US citizens doesn’t pay a large amount of cash.
The legal aspect is that it is true if you are having close encounter with a minor, you can be in complicated legal issue in Colombia with detention in jail for a long time even before the trial and also in the US.
