Unlike divorce, which dissolves an existing valid marriage, annulment invalidates the marriage from the outset. It is important to understand that annulment is granted only under specific legal grounds outlined by Colombian law.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Legal Framework<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Annulment is governed by the Colombian civil Code.
